Over 200 snow leopards recorded in Xinjiang reserve

A year-long wildlife survey has confirmed the presence of about 205 snow leopards in Tomur Peak National Nature Reserve and the surrounding areas of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwest China.

The study, based on 312 infrared cameras, identified 109 individual leopards, including 17 family groups, highlighting the reserve's role as one of China's most important habitats for the endangered species.
